Readers who have ever thought about incorporating Web 2.0 and social networking media into their art practice should consider signing up for an onine course I’m teaching at my alma mater, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, this fall. The course explores how artists use Web 2.0 and social networking media such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and Tumblr, Blogger, WordPress and more to create, and distribute, promote their projects as well as build community. I’ll guide students through the process of creating an art blog that incorporates other social networking tools. Please pass the word on to students–both undergraduate and graduate credit is available (and transferable). The course begins on September 12 and runs through December 16, 2011.
