ABOUT
Launched in 2007, Two Coats of Paint is a NYC-based online publication and social media hub that publishes a blog with an emphasis on painting and contemporary art and maintains substantial Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky communities. In 2026, we started cross-posting on Substack. We provide an engaged niche audience for the arts organizations, galleries, and other members of the art community that advertise on Two Coats of Paint and sponsor Two Coats social media posts. Two Coats has been selected as one of the top ten art websites by Time Out New York and ArtSpace. We are also supported by reader contributions, and we have received generous grants from the Creative Capital /Warhol Foundation Arts Writing Program in recognition of excellence.

VERTICAL AD (450h x 300w): $675 per month / Discount: $ 665/month for 3 or more months) Includes link to your website.
HORIZONTAL AD (250h x 300w): $515 per month /Discount: $505/month for 3 or more months. Includes link to your website.
SMALL BANNER AD (125h x 300w) $325 / Discount: $320/month for 3 or more months. Includes link to your website.
IMAGE PLACEMENT IN THE REGULAR FEED (750 x 750 pixels) $400 for one 3-image swipe, tagged to your organization’s Instagram account. You must send installation images of the exhibition for this option. Includes captions and tags for artist accounts if provided.
IMAGE PLACEMENT IN A STORY (1920h x 1080w pixels) $275 for one image, with a link to your website and tags to your Instagram feed.
FORMAT/ PROCESS
Formats: JPG, PNG or GIF at 72dpi. Please create ads at 200% so that when we reduce for publication, the text is crisp.
For delivery, simply attach your ad to an email with ADVERTISING in subject line. Remember to include the URL that you want the ad to link to upon clicking. Improperly sized materials may be altered to fit the format.
