    Thanks

  2. Thank you for listing these artist residencies for your readers. I would like to add one more new residency, application deadline September 23, 2013 for 2014 Residencies: The Golden Foundation Residency Program. This residency is unique in that there is collaboration with the paint company Golden Artist Colors where artists can get technical support from paint technicians. Also, all of the paint is supplied during this 4-week residency. http://www.goldenfoundation.org

  3. With such great residencies on the list, I want to add ours, too!

Building on the esteemed reputation of the Art Students League of New York, the League Residency at Vyt provides support artists by bringing them together with masters and colleagues for intensive focus through an international residency program. Set on fifteen wooded acres in the Lower Hudson Valley just 24 miles north of the cultural center of New York City "Vyt" enables Residents to craft their own mix of focused work, community with other residents, one-on-one mentoring from critics, and inspiration from New York's museums and galleries. http://www.theartstudentsleague.org/Residency.aspx

  4. This is a great list to have, thanks for sharing!

  5. I wanted to comment on the Golden foundation residency posted above by one of the "Emma". The golden foundation one is very expensive – pls note that most residencies that are well known do not charge people to go there (Yaddo mcdowell etc). As a foundation, and non -profit, consider how much it might cost an artist to be away from home – mortgage, rent, child care, bills. I know you have limited financial assistance, but still – $3500? That is too much. Perhaps that is why you are not listed.
