(Mostly) painting: Fall preview in Brooklyn (and Queens)

Deux Cts
Deux Cotes / Two Sides. Part I, installation view at Theodore:Art. Left to right: Pierre Mabille, Christophe Robe, Joyce Robins, Sharon Butler. (My new paintings are based on the digital drawings I’ve been posting each morning on Instagram.)

Our first preview of the fall season features primarily Brooklyn galleries–Bushwick, DUMBO, Gowanus, and Downtown. Look for me IRL on Friday, September 9, at Theodore:Art in Bushwick, and on Saturday, September 10, at 72 Front Street in DUMBO, where I’ve got paintings in two terrific group shows. Stay tuned for a forthcoming post featuring recommended shows in Manhattan–Chelsea, LES, Midtown, and more. NOTE: Links are included in case readers can’t make it to the exhibitions, and I grabbed some of the images from the artist’s websites, so not all of the work depicted may be in the shows.
