Jacco Olivier’s animated paintings

Jacco Olivier
creates short, intimate animations of his paintings. Concise narrative
episodes appear in a microcosmic world that depicts moments from daily
life– a bus journey, a swim in the ocean, or a walk through the woods.
Every painting is reworked in big, casual strokes and systematically
photographed at each stage. Moving in and out of abstraction, they
reveal the traces and decisions Olivier makes in the process of
painting.

  1. Wow this is just stunning I don't understand how he does it, it is really so amazing to watch though I love all the color he uses.

  2. I was just recently introduced to the works of Jacco Olivier in Madison Square Park NYC. The painterly animations throughout the park are really stunning!
