Hivemind: ALLTOGETHERNOW

Contributed by Sharon Butler / Artists flew in from all over the world for Bushwick Open Studios, and several participated in ALLTOGETHERNOW, a collaborative drawing project and abstract painting exhibition organized by Bushwick artist Julie Torres. Once the roster of participating artists was determined via Facebook, Torres helped select work and arranged for everyone to stay at the homes of local artists. Here are a few images from the drawing party, exhibition, and some images of work by individual artists grabbed from their websites. I’m looking forward to seeing if the experience leads to new collaborations between the participants, and whether individual styles and images begin to migrate from artist to artist.
